Hi, I’m Emily. I’m based in North Carolina, and I created this website out of love, frustration, and hope.
My partner is an autistic adult who, like many, was diagnosed later in life. As I began searching for tools, advice, and resources for me to support him, I discovered a painful gap: almost everything was designed for children. It felt as though the world had decided that autistic adults simply stop existing, or stop needing care, growth, and community. That didn’t sit right with me.
I’m a library professional with a background in psychology and library science, along with studies in social work and media communication. Organizing information, curating resources, and building accessible guides is second nature to me, so I decided to create the resource I couldn’t find.
This space isn’t written by an expert by any means, but by someone who cares deeply. I have ADHD and am neurodivergent myself, and I tend to attract almost exclusively autistic friends for some reason. It may be that I am subclinical, who knows. While I don’t claim expertise, I do believe in empathy, practicality, and the power of well-organized information.
My hope is that this site becomes a helpful, respectful place—for autistic adults, those who love them, and anyone trying to navigate a world not built with them in mind.
